NAMA Affiliate & Chapter Networking Webring
All Affiliates and Chapters belong to the NAMA Affiliate & Chapter Networking Webring. It is easy to join it and is one way to get traffic to your website.
|
|
What is a Webring? A Webring is a group of websites (or page) linked together and usually there is a topic that joins the websites together. For example you will find webrings on business opportunities, Windows, travel, cooking and just about every topic you can think of. This is a private webring that to be a member of you must be a NAMA affiliate or chapter. All of the websites in the webring will believe in the goals of NAMA. Therefore when someone wants to learn about methadone and patient right’s visiting the websites in the NAMA Affiliate and Chapter Webring would be one way to learn and find information.

Email Signature
Instructions to New Affiliates
As a NAMA chapter or affiliate we ask that you include recognition of your
affiliation in your email signature and elsewhere. There is a reason for doing this: throughout the world
NAMA is well known and well respected. By including an acknowledgement
professionals see it and know it. It will confer upon you immediate recognition.
Responsibility: Using the NAMA name also means that you must always act
professional and responsible. We all understand how easily the NAMA name can be
tarnished just because we are patients. Stigma and prejudice will be with us for some time.
US Groups: NAMA is recognized the most in the US and any US groups should include in their
email signature that they are a chapter of NAMA. You can also include “Together, we can make a difference.”
and a link to the NAMA website if you do not have one.
International: International groups are veiwed at NAMA as equals because they
are a national organization like NAMA. It is not and never was NAMA’s intent to upsurp their
position. International groups have through the years become associated with NAMA because
we were there and at times the only kind of network to communicate through. By reaching out
to international groups we all gain more power and can use this to help the countries that
have little or no access to methadone treatment, punitive regulations or not patient oriented. Here are
some examples that international groups can include in their signature, however the decision
of what to put is yours as an organization.
- “An affiliate of the international NAMA Network – Together, we can make a difference.”
- “We believe in the goals of the National Alliance of Methadone Advocates”.
- “Together, we can make a difference. Together we can change the world!”
If you have any questions about this please contact Rokki Baker – the chapter coordinator.
